Easy Thank You
Read This Week: Psalm 95
Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. – Psalm 95:1-3 NIV
There is the adage that saying please and thank you are two of the hardest things for people to do. This struggle needs to be clarified because saying thank you seems like one of the easiest ways anyone can express gratitude. It requires minimal effort to open our mouths and use our voices to utter two words of gratefulness for the things given to us in our lives and the things that happen to us due to someone else’s effort.
It is hard to say thank you only because we make it so. It is difficult because we can lack the humility and gratitude it takes to thank someone for something they have done for us. When it comes to our Father God, it is an easy thank you. When we consider who He is and all He has done for us, expressing gratitude and thanks takes on various forms, from talking to singing to worship with our mind, body, and spirit.
A gratitude challenge would be to take time with the list below and reflect on the Lord and His provision. This exercise is good for activating thankfulness in our hearts during this season of Thanksgiving and beyond.
God abounds in goodness.
He does not change.
He is compassionate.
He is a God of peace.
He is a righteous judge.
He is all-powerful.
He is eternal.
He is everywhere.
He is forgiving.
He is gracious.
He is impartial.
He is justice.
He is patient.
He is merciful.
He is mighty.
He is love.
He is our helper.
He is our salvation.
He is our righteousness.
He is our shepherd.
He is wise.
He gives perfect gifts.
He protects.
He is our guide.
His yoke is easy, and His burden is light.
His grace is sufficient.
His presence is imminent.
He is our sustainer.
He is our defender.
He is the truth.
He is unequaled.
He is without limits.
He is perfect.
He receives all glory.
He rewards those who seek Him.
He works in our lives.
He uses us for His purposes.
He gives us a mission.
He is coming again.
When we take a step back to think and observe all the characteristics of God and what He provides for our lives now and throughout eternity, saying thank you is the easiest thing in the world.
Psalm 95:1 O come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord;
Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
2Let us come before His presence with a song of thanksgiving;
Let us shout joyfully to Him with songs.

This week in psalms 95 verse 2 I have a song
Let’s come together
Let’s come together to worship our Lord let’s come together to worship our Lord, singing, praising being thankful for our Lord. He is our light the light of the world showing us the way let’s come together to worship our Lord. Our leader, who guides us shows us the truth the way he gives us, grace and his mercy. He loves us all the time let’s get together to worship our Lord, let’s come together to worship our Lord, singing, praising, being thankful amen.
Our Lord loves when we share with others with Joy in our hearts. Let’s give praise to our Lord obey, and show others his Love. Amen
This week God drew my attention to Verses 3-5 in Psalm 95:
3 For the Lord is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.
What He said to me on this is:
“I am everything and also nothing. Where you are is in between surrounded by Me. Take care knowing that My love surrounds you every second of every day. You know deep in your heart that it would be impossible for it not to be.”
What this means to me is that when I think of God I think of everything He created. It begins and ends with Him. Everything down to the tiniest molecule can be traced back to Him. Nothing was self actualized or created on this earth by itself, especially not us. Everything we create on this earth is simply repurposing what God gave to us in His sandbox. When we realize that no matter where we are and what is around us, that it is created by God, we can take ultimate peace and solace that He is ALWAYS with us and without a shadow of a doubt is guiding us with purpose. Hallelujah Lord, we Love you!
This is what God gave me in Psalm 95. You are to honor Me with singing and doing this with the community of My people. Singing expresses human thought with emotion. Singing expresses joy. Your singing should not be so that others in the congregation hear you, but it is to be with a sincere heart, that you sing to Me. I want you to honor Me with a happy, enthusiastic heart. Worship should be with thought and a true connection to what you have experienced with Me. I am in your presence as you are in Mine. Your worship should express a heart of Thanksgiving to Me, who has done so much for you. Understanding My greatness, helps you to properly worship Me. I have formed everything around you, if you look you will see the beauty of nature and everything. I own it all because I made it and I own you too since I made you. Do what is right before Me. In My presence you should worship and bow down before Me. Worship is an obligation that you owe Me. I am your Maker and Redeemer. I want you to hear My voice in the midst of your worship. Do not harden your heart against My word. Surrender your heart to Me and obey and trust Me. If you reject My invitation, you are testing Me. There will be no rest for an unbelieving heart.
What this said to me is I don’t want my heart to be hardened. I am so blessed to be God’s daughter, and I need to not take that for granted.
