From Heaven
Read This Week: John 3
John replied, “A person can receive only what is given them from heaven. You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Messiah but am sent ahead of him.’ The One who comes from above is above all; the One who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks as one from the earth. The One who comes from heaven is above all. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life.” – John 3:27-28, 31, & 36 NIV
John 3 is full of theological and practical truth about Jesus. This chapter, through dialogue and the teachings of Jesus and John the Baptist, lays out the divinity, supremacy, and eternality of Christ, the Gospel message, and what one must do to have salvation for all time. It even includes John 3:16-17, the most famous and often quoted verse in the Bible:
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world but to save it through him.
We see in these passages that the nature of spirituality, faith, and knowing God is not something produced or originated on earth. Skeptics and antagonists often say that Christianity is a human construct or religion, but the teachings of Jesus and John the Baptist beg to differ.
John says these things come to us only from heaven (v.27). Jesus further iterates that one has ever gone into heaven except the One who came from heaven (v.13). Both of them make it clear that illumination of truth, spiritual power, salvation, the hope of the afterlife, and empowered living come from outside ourselves.
Human beings or an earthly mechanism cannot manufacture these privileges of a relationship with God, but they come only from the Lord of heaven and earth through Christ. John establishes spiritual authority from God through the person of Jesus in verses 31 and 36, where he says: The One who comes from heaven is above all. This statement means there is no other credible source of salvation except through Jesus. He is above all. Therefore, because of His supremacy, whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life.
We can be encouraged and filled with joy by reading this chapter because it teaches, informs, and reaffirms that God is above all and that His Son, Jesus Christ, is the redemptive answer for all humanity. We can be born again through faith in Him and restored to an eternal relationship with the Father. God is the One who so loved the world. He is the One who sent his only Son. Our hope doesn’t come from ourselves or something finite that will disappear. Our hope is infinite because it is from heaven.
John 3:3 Jesus answered him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified], he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God.”
Because Jesus died to pay for the sins of the whole world, all people have the opportunity to put their faith in Him — meaning all people have the opportunity to choose to know, believe, and trust in who Jesus is and what He has done to make salvation possible,
Did you know that when you give your life, your heart to Jesus you are born again, spiritually transformed.
Spiritually transformed means you have a dramatic change, so to be transformed by the Holy Spirit you have to want to, you desire to make a change in your life daily with Him.
the process of changing us is to be more like Jesus, He is our example.
to be like Jesus more and more is called sanctification.
sanctification – the action or process of being freed from sin. the process of sanctification takes deliberate action on our part.
so how does the Holy Spirit sanctify us?
So, Thank you Father God, that His Holy Spirit sanctifies us by working in and through us. Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit has not only set us free from sin but also lives in our hearts and the Holy Spirit reminds us to follow Jesus more closely., you do have to be listening,
We are set apart to serve Him, and be apart of the family. Now we can help others to be apart of the Family of God and help those who are part of the family to grow in His ways more and more.
we want to be growing always. So I hope you make a choice today to be born again if you haven’t yet and believe and be apart of the Family of God.
Always remember daily that Father God loves you, He is for you, He loves it when you make Him apart of your life daily.

When we ask God to help us we are blessed because he is listening. He gives me peace,his love,,his understanding.
The impactful verses in John 3 (AMPC) that God steered me towards are :
19 The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil.
20 For every wrongdoer hates (loathes, detests) the Light, and will not come out into the Light but shrinks from it, lest his works (his deeds, his activities, his conduct) be exposed and reproved.
21 But he who practices truth [who does what is right] comes out into the Light; so that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are—wrought with God [divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence upon Him].
God said to me on this “Bask in my light comfortably as you have nothing to hide. You understand that you are with Me and when you do not have to reside in the dark, then you have a level of peace that will soothe your soul. Some of those hiding in the darkness do so because they are afraid. Lead them into the light and have empathy while doing so. The truly evil ones will remain in the dark, but those that do not shrivel at the sign of light have hope.”
What I feel this means to me is that God gives us the opportunity to absorb his light and removes burdens and stress from our hearts because we don’t have anything to hide. It’s when we carry earthly baggage and have negativity and stress and things that we are not proud of that we start to get dragged down into the dark, fearful of exposure. When we live close to God then we don’t have that fear and in turn are able to truly feel free.
