Worship Practice

Read This Week: Revelation 4

Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night, they never stop saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” The twenty-four elders fall before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives forever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say: “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will, they were created.” – Revelation 4:8-11 NIV

Several things that are done for the Lord will cease in eternity. Evangelism and sharing the gospel message will not be done in Heaven. We will not do outreach or build bridges to people far from God in Heaven. Serving in various areas of the church, like leading a small group, teaching children, visiting the sick, and greeting and assisting people, will not be necessary for Heaven. Local and international mission trips will not be needed, and church business will not have to be conducted. But what will be in Heaven and will last forever that we do here on earth is the passionate and sincere worship of Almighty God.

Worship (proskyneōmeans ascribing worth or paying one homage out of reverence or respect). We are created for and called to worship in this life. We are designed to worship God in spirit and truth and to honor Jesus with a lifestyle of righteous adoration. The practice of daily worship, the praise of God, and bringing glory to His name through our words, actions, behavior, and songs is something we’ll do for all of eternity. One Bible commentator said that “God’s people will worship Him throughout all eternity. Perhaps it would be good for us to get in practice now.”

We need to be ready to worship Jesus forever, and like the four living creatures in Revelation 4, day and night, never stop saying: Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. This scene greatly previews what will come for us in Heaven. This chapter takes us into a new phase where John is taken into the heavens and shown what must take place after this. We see through the Revelator what happens when the church age ends and the afterlife with Father God begins. It is fitting that the first glimpse we have is Christ seated on the throne of majesty, being adorned with praise, celebration, and worship continuously (v.2).

Our lives on earth should look like worship practice for Heaven. As the twenty-four elders in verses 10-11, we should humbly submit ourselves to Father God daily. We should fall before him and surrender our lives to His service, to be obedient and open to whatever He has for us. To be available and ready to worship at any time, whether giving Him praise in public for His goodness and blessings, singing a song of joy for His provision, serving another person in His name, or helping someone in need as Jesus did. Our worship practice should also include laying our crowns before the throne or giving up our allegiance to earthly possessions and material things to worship God more freely.

God is worthy of our worship, and if we’re going to be doing that in Heaven for an infinite amount of time, why shouldn’t we start now with the same posture and practice? We absolutely should, and it should go something like this: You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will, they were created and have their being.

I was reading this verse and God made Revelation 4 verse 2 (AMPC):
2 At once I came under the [Holy] Spirit’s power, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with One seated on the throne!

God said to me on this “You will aways have your preconceived notions of what it is like to be with Me in Heaven. Until you are there you will always have interpretations based on what you need to see in your life. When I give you glimpses it is through your own lens. Rest assured my son that you are here seated with Me and will understand when you know. When you let My spirit take hold of you it allows you to go beyond what the brain is designed to see.”

What this means to me is that God gives us the ability to see amazing things that are far beyond what we can see as humans on the regular, when we need to see them and for what we need to see them for. We are seated with God and blazing with His light and when we get connected to Him we can see and feel Him in His full glory, as much as we are able to. When we get those chills and the feeling of peace it is through Him and His spirit filling us to the brim with Love.

    Revelation Chapter 4 verse 1
After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard addressing me like [the calling of] a war trumpet said, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place in the future.

    Revelation Chapter 4 verse 2
At once I came under the [Holy] Spirit’s power, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with One seated on the throne!

What God Is Saying To Me:
My throne is my resting place and a place of peace. Focus your eyes and life on the higher things, the Godly things. This should be your focus every day, all day. Just remember, everything that you do and overcome in your worldly walk relates back to me and my Heavenly Throne. You must enter into my house and understand that my Holy Spirit reveals to you, my presence, my peace, my love and all my plans for a prosperous future with me, that I have given you.

    What This Means To Me:
Everything comes from Father God! Until I have the revelation that I must leave the world’s reality and enter into the presence of God, then and only then can I reap all of His blessings and understand the depth of his love for me. He gives us the Holy Spirit with which to praise Him, respect Him and worship Him with love in our hearts. Thank you God for your throne, your immeasurable love for me and the revelation of how important the Holy Spirit is to a grounded connection to you!
I Love You Father God, Jesus And The Holy Spirit! ❤️❤️

Revelation 4:8And the four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes all over and within [underneath their wings]; and day and night they never stop saying,

“Holy, holy, holy [is the] Lord God, the Almighty [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all], who was and who is and who is to come [the unchanging, eternal God].”

This chapter is all about worship \0/
I love to worship our Father, Jesus and His Holy Spirt!
Father God was sharing with me
Worship is so important because when our relationship is good your heart is full of love and we get closer
I’m showing here how the animals know how much I love them they feel close to Me because I Am Always the same full of love!
What this means to me is worship also says it’s like a dog licking his master’s hand.
Animals are so amazing they love you so much!
I lost my my Zoe some years ago she’s with Jesus now
She was a blessing from God God has giving us animals to bless us with their love, they are faithful and love us no matter what! I believe God gave us this picture because He loves it when we look to Him with our whole heart and look to Him with love and can’t wait to be with Him, love hanging out with Him and just do life with Him!
Thank you Father God for all your love and ty Jesus for Uours and Your Holy Soirit that lives inside my heart❤️

In this chapter, this was what God gave me. It is very little that you can know about the future, but you should be sure that you know as much as is good for you. Be content with this. If I will for you not to know more, you are to be satisfied not to know. The place where judgement comes from is My throne in heaven. The rainbow around the throne is a reminder of My commitment to My covenant with man. As a believer you know that My sovereignty is on your side. I have said I will never leave you or forsake you. When you are tempted I will make a way of escape. If you are redeemed and glorified, you will sit enthroned with Jesus. “You are joint heirs with Christ, and you will reign with Him.” The Holy Spirit is represented by seven burning lamps. The crystal glass gives you a clear sight of I and of yourself. The four living creatures are like cherubim, the spectacular angelic beings surrounding My throne. The multitude of eyes show that they have greater insight and perception than any man. The way they worship me, should remind you that your worship should be intelligent, which involves applying the knowledge you have as a believer. “You are to dedicate your body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to Me. This is your spiritual act of worship.” Worship with all your heart. You exist to give glory and pleasure to Me, to fulfill your purpose.

What this said to me is God is worthy to receive glory, honor, and power. We are to get rid of everything that divides us from each other, or separates us from our Lord. I need to be content with what I know about the future, and trust God.
