Both Great and Small

Read This Week: Revelation 11

The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and his Messiah, and he will reign forever and ever.” And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign. The nations were angry, and your wrath had come. The time has come for judging the dead and rewarding your servants, the prophets, and the people who revere your name, both great and small. – Revelation 11:15-18 NIV

Chapter 11 is much like Chapter 10 of Revelation, containing some descript, dreadful, and shocking scenes from the middle of the tribulation. The first 14 verses of the passage detail the experience of the two witnesses for Jesus that will testify of God’s power, sovereignty, and salvation for over three years. After they finish sharing the message of Christ in those days, the Enemy will be allowed to come up from the Abyss and attack, overpower, and kill them. Then to make matters worse, the masses will celebrate their deaths, and everyone who sees them will abandon their bodies. Verses 9-10 say:

For three and a half days, some from every people, tribe, language, and nation will gaze at their bodies and refuse burial. The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate.

But then, after three and a half days, something unbelievable, supernatural, and miraculous will happen. God will bring the two witnesses back to life before the whole world. They will stand up, and the Lord will call them back up into heaven, and the people will be terrified and in awe of God’s power. Furthermore, it will cause them to give glory to the God of heaven. God will redeem this horrible scene in a way that will cause sadistic, unfeeling, and evil people to fall on their faces and worship Him.

This transformation is what God does all the time. He infuses His love, grace, and power into situations that are ugly, vile, and difficult to watch, and transforms, changes, and makes them right. He takes people and any circumstance, both great and small, and redeems them for His glory and our good. Doing so causes the most unlikely individuals, communities, and nations to turn in awe and reverence toward His heart in worship.

The rising from death to life is what He did for us and all those who have and will call on His name. No person, both great and small, is beyond the reach of God’s mercy and love. No situation is too difficult for His mighty strength. No relationship is too complicated for His wisdom. No sickness is too aggressive for His healing hands, and no despair is too oppressive for His freedom. God rules over everything, both great and small, and with this knowledge, we can be confident and say as the twenty-four elders in verses 17-18:

We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.

What does it take to be a witness for Jesus?
You have a testimony of when you became a child of God, You know in your heart that you love God and He loves you, you are faithful to Jesus, you made a commitment to serve Him all the days of your life here on earth until you leave and then join everyone in heaven. We share what Jesus puts on our hearts, we have a message too! we share our testimony so someone may get touched and want to have a change in their life because of Jesus! Sometimes we have to give a message that’s hard to give, they may want to hurt us for telling them the truth, they may get mad and upset, but we have to share with them what God is saying through us and we hope they will respond to the Holy Spirit.
We see God’s power flowing through these two witnesses who God had chosen, God chooses us to,
    to be witnesses.
God’s power that he gives us is the power to influence someone who wants to be influenced by the Holy Spirit.
As you share, even if it looks like they’re not responding we have to share anyways because we never know what’s going to happen in their life.
As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are all called to serve and share as witnesses to our faith!
To make a stand as a witness of God at all times means to be Christlike, a good example for others In every situation. We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to bear witness to our Lord Jesus, we get his power, the ability to help someone to know who Jesus is!

Testimonies are stories of what God has done and is doing in our life!
    Our testimony can produce repentance!

Not only does our testimonies represent us coming to Christ, but they can bring others closer to him or give their life to Jesus because we shared it with them.
Our testimonies, messages, bring hope and God’s joy!

I hear God saying, I will continue to reach out to those who are lost and going the wrong way in this world until the very end! Because that is my heart, that’s why I sent Jesus is for the lost!
Never give up on sharing the gospel because you never know who will have a change of heart!
    Love you always❤️

Love you Father God, Jesus, and Your Holy Spirit!
My reward is seeing the people I got to share with in heaven when I get there!
Thank you that I get too!!

    Revelation Chapter 11 Verse 11
But after three and a half days, by God’s gift, the breath of life again entered into them, and they rose up on their feet, and great dread and terror fell on those who watched them.

    Revelation Chapter 11 Verse 12
Then [the two witnesses] heard a strong voice from heaven calling to them., Come up here! And before the very eyes of their enemies they ascended into heaven in a cloud.

    ~He Reigns~

    God Is Saying To Me:
I am your source of strength forevermore. My Holy Spirit is your breath of life each waking moment. The ways of the world will never be victorious because I give you strength and power, peace and dominion over everything that comes against you. Trust and believe in me and know you are protected and chosen by me in all that you do.

    What This Means To Me:
No matter what happens around me, no matter who or what tries to come against me, the breath of God’s Holy Spirit prevails. Others may laugh, mock and make fun and think that they are winning at this game called life, but my God is stronger, more powerful, and will never allow sin to win. I must stay committed to Him and seek His wisdom in everything that I do and He too will breathe life into me for eternity.
Thank you God for your breath of life, the Holy Spirit! ❤️
I love you Father God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit! ❤️✝️

He made the ultimate sacrifice so we could have a better life. He also had his people whom were close to him and knew the truth. They wrote and spread his news for me and you to have a better life with him. Thank you Jesus

This is what I got from Revelation 11 this week. This chapter shows that I the Almighty am in charge. The character of the two witnesses will prophesy, preach, and demonstrate repentance, and they have an effective ministry. The lamps filled with oil from the olive trees show a picture of continual, abundant supply. As a witness for Me, you must have something to witness, such as your own personal encounter with My Son, Jesus Christ. You must also have the power of the Holy Spirit, to be able to witness effectively. The two witnesses have special protection from Me. The witnesses are killed by the beast, but their ministry is not cut short. The devil does not have power over your life. You are My witness and I will protect you until your testimony is finished. Witness is not something you do; it’s something you are. When the seventh trumpet sounds, it shows an absolute certainty about Jesus coming and His reign. The nations are angry with Me, and I will respond to them with wrath. The ark of His covenant refers to My throne, which emphasizes My faithfulness. My presence is there.

What this said to me was if we follow Jesus, we are called to share our faith with others and to serve. We need to share our testimonies, and what the Holy Spirit has done in our lives. God continues to give people chances for repentance. We need to stay in His word and obey Him. We need to shine His light to show others Him.

This week God focused my attention on verses 10-12:

10 The inhabitants of the earth will gloat over them and will celebrate by sending each other gifts, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth.

11 But after the three and a half days the breath[b] of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and terror struck those who saw them. 12 Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” And they went up to heaven in a cloud, while their enemies looked on.

What He said to me about this:

“Sometimes what you want is not always want you need. Sometimes you hear what you don’t want to hear and it is up to you to open your heart or to close it. Celebrating for the wrong reasons can lead to devastation which is why it is so important to keep your heart open to Me, in all the ways that I speak to you. You will know it is Me when your heart is truly open.”

There are those that are so sure of themselves that they are doing the right thing in the worldly way, when in reality they are straying further away from God. That is why it is so important to keep our senses aware of God in every fashion and every forum, because He is there, all day every day. 🙂
