A Glorious Future
Read This Week: Revelation 1
“Look, he is coming with the clouds,” and “every eye will see him, even those who pierced him,” and all peoples on earth “will mourn because of him.” So shall it be! Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.”

The ideas, visions, and dreams of what life will be like in the future have captured the imaginations of human beings from the beginning of time. Visionaries and pioneers have existed in every generation with the desire to explore and forge new paths toward the possibilities ahead. The rest gaze toward the horizon, stars, and boundaries of our world, wondering what life will be like in the future. What lies before us and what will become of us has and will always be in our minds and hearts. To be human is to aspire to know.
The book of Revelation is the ultimate look at the future. In the original language, Revelation is the word apokalupsis, which means “a revealing or unveiling.” So the book is uncovering what is to come and, more importantly, who is to come. Chapter 1, verse 8 illustrates this with Jesus’ declaration of being the Alpha and the Omega, who is, who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. This ties in perfectly with that profound passage in John 1, where Jesus is God and with God in the beginning. Now, in this study, we will see Him at the end. We will see Him revealed in all of His glory and what things will look like in the future for those who have placed saving faith in Christ and those who have and will reject Him. In fact, verse 7 tells us that every eye will see him. All will finally see Him for who He is, not who they think He is.
The Apostle John is the dreamer to whom Jesus shows our life in the future. He lives exiled on the Island of Patmos, and the Lord finds him worthy to receive this word and spiritual Revelation to the seven churches, and as John writes, anyone who reads aloud the words of this prophecy. From the start, we see Jesus, the most important truth about Revelation. But this book also shows us eschatological imagery that challenges the imagination. It shows us the Antichrist, God’s judgment, adversity and chaos on the earth, and final things. Most of all, it shows who Jesus Christ is to us. He is our king, our savior, our reclaimer, our deliverer, and our future. The best thing about our life in the future is Jesus and an eternal relationship with Him.
While the prevailing thought in chapter one is the exalted and glorified Christ among his church and his constant care for them, one can’t help but be captured by the language describing the majesty of Jesus. Take this moment to read these lines from verses 13-16, then close your eyes, worship God, and let your heart be filled with joy for your life in the future with such a grand, magnificent Savior:
I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned, I saw seven golden lampstands, and among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand, he held seven stars, and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance.
Revelation 1 verse 8
We see here that God the father, God the word, and God the Holy Spirit are all three eternal. They each have no beginning and no end their spirit is one.
What that means to me
The Almighty is God head there is no other power. Jesus is equal to the father in the Holy Spirit. All three are the spirit of God.
A very powerful chapter! God focused me on Revelation 1 verse 11 (AMPC):
11 Saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. Write promptly what you see (your vision) in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia—to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.
He said to me “ Me being on earth was a stepping stone for everyone to get used to following my lead. And the beauty is, that you never have to stop. I am always here with you and with everyone who knows Me. You will always receive guidance from Me.”
I think about how amazing it was that John was able to even slightly describe the magnificence that he witnessed with all the verbal tools at his disposal for his time. Even after death Jesus will always be our guide. We can ask God where we need to go, what we need to do, and how we need to do it and He will reply in the form of small hints, gentle nudges, not so gentle nudges and then grand spectacles like John witnessed. I know how important it is to always have our “pads” ready to write words from God.
Revelation 1:3 Blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and who keep the things which are written in it [heeding them and taking them to heart]; for the time [of fulfillment] is near.

God drew my attention to Revelation 1:3 He is saying You never know when it’s time to leave this world, so while your here you want to reach out to those I put in your life.
When you read this prophecy, out loud to anyone you will feel blessed and they get blessed too,
and when you read your Bible out loud to anyone you are blessed because you will feel My love, joy and My peace. While your reading. When you read you will hear my encouragement through reading and sharing and you’ll feel My love, You will hear My guidance, instructions, and warnings through reading to others, when you respond to what I’m telling you, you will be blessed. After reading when you hear what I’m saying and you respond to what I’m telling you, your heart will feel My Love for you, you will be blessed!
What that means to me is God loves it when we listen and respond to Him through reading His bible, and when reading out loud to others, When we do read it and when we read it out loud He blesses in the moment He gives us wisdom, knowledge, revelation, He helps us, guides us as we listen and obey (respond) to Him
I feel blessed when I respond and do what He is telling me to do!
Thank you Father God for giving us Your bible that helps us to learn and grow, and when we share it with others, read it out loud, we can feel so blessed in side our hearts for knowing the truth, Hearing it and doing what a your saying to us, because we are blessed when we do and that we are part of Your family ❤️
Revelation Chapter 1 v. 19
Write therefore the things you see, what they are [and signify] and what is to take place hereafter.

And formed us into a kingdom (a royal race), priest to his God and Father–to Him Be the glory and the power and the majesty and the Dominion throughout the ages and forever and ever. Amen (so be it).
What God Is Saying To Me:
As I instructed in John v. 19 to write down the things he had just witnessed and to share the significance of them, I also instruct you to do the same in your experiences. Go forth with eagerness, an open mind and faith in me sharing how I am making an eternal impact in you.
What This Means To Me:
Jesus is alive and well! He lives within me and desires for me to want to share his goodness and mercy, peace and how he is changing me each and every day, forever and ever. He wants me to write and signify my walk with him until the very end. I believe that’s what I am doing right here, right now with all reading this blog. We make up the church and the church shares with others.
I love God! I love you and we love Jesus! Thank you Lord for allowing me to be able to write and share with others to glorify you.

We are ALL royal, living as a royal race, born again into our Heavenly Father’s royal kingdom. Isn’t that concept amazing? Thank you Jesus for being OUR ONE AND ONLY royal ruler!

This is what I got from Revelation 1. The book of Revelation is the Revelation of Jesus Christ to you. He is the object revealed. This is a revelation, not something hidden. The time is near for the fulfillment of these things that will happen in the future. I was concerned enough to talk about it, and you should be concerned enough to listen. This will be in My time table, not man’s. When the event happens, it will be sudden. John knew this book was Holy Scripture, My Word. He knew it came from Me though Jesus. It is important that you read this, and keep the message of this book. If you neglect the book, you will miss the blessing. If you understand the book of Revelation, it will change the way that you live. John brought a greeting from Me, who is, and who was, and who is to come. As Lord over eternity, I rule the past, the presence, and the future. Jesus is the ruler over the kings, and He will take dominion over every earthly king. Every believer should be secure in My love, not based on presence circumstance, but based on the ultimate demonstration of love at the cross. I first loved you and then washed you. In light of all Jesus did for you, it is right to praise Him. You should honor Him with “all glory and dominion forever and ever.” You must give Him dominion over yourself. You should watch and wait for Jesus’s coming, and behold the coming of Jesus. When He comes, every eye will see Him. The sword Jesus has, is His word. His weapon and yours is My word.
What this said to me, was Jesus demonstrated His love for me on the cross. I am to give Him all the praise. I must not neglect His word. If I understand Revelation, it will change the way I live.
